Greetings:

I am certain that each person receiving this email knows at least one person who is currently serving overseas.
But did you know that not every airman, soldier, sailor, marine, or guardsman is currently eligible to cast their vote in our upcoming election, or that they will even have the opportunity to vote?

“Of the 12,531 absentee ballots requested by Ohio military members and overseas civilians in 2006, 1,994 were returned as undeliverable, according to federal data. Of the total requested ballots, 5,958 -- 47.5 percent -- were cast or counted. Nationwide, about one-third of similar ballots were cast or counted.”

“A study released last year by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission reported that, although at least 992,034 overseas ballots were requested by civilians and military personnel for the 2006 election, only 330,000 of them actually were cast or counted. More than 70 percent of the uncounted ballots were rejected because they were returned as undeliverable, according to the study, while 10 percent arrived past deadline.”

Shocking isn’t it – that these wonderful and brave citizens – Our Nation’s Finest – may not be able to cast their vote for our next Commander-in-Chief!

Please join me in my efforts to let our military know that there is a special foundation ready to help them through the process of voting by sending all of your friends and especially all of your military friends an email with the following link to the Overseas Vote Foundation.

https://military.overseasvotefoundation.org/overseas/home.htm

Overseas Vote Foundation provides secure, nonpartisan voter service for members of the US Uniformed Services and their eligible spouses and dependents including:

Voter Registration
state Specific Voter Registration and Ballot Request Deadlines
It may already be too late for some!

And more!

With your help, and thanks to the Overseas Vote Foundation, our military can register to vote, request a mail-in ballot, and cast their vote.

PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON SOMEONE ELSE LETTING YOUR FRIENDS IN UNIFORM KNOW ABOUT THE OVERSEAS VOTE FOUNDATION – they may be thinking the same thing.

To avoid your e-mail being automatically sent to the “junk/spam mail bin” please do not send to more than 15 email addresses at a time – AND use the BCC address box please.  Sure it takes a bit longer to get through the list – just smile and be thankful you have so many friends.

 On to VICTORY!
